***Ronald Hutton. The Pagan Religions of the Ancient British Isles: Their Nature and Legacy A must for the Celtic orientated Neo-Pagan, shows the difference between much of the Neo Pagan fantasy and the facts. Patrick Avon Boot Camp: Be all you used to be (the Sergeant's Program)
The following are books that we do not recommend as source material --these books are inaccurate historically and/or mythologically. There are others that could be, and later might be listed here ---unfortunately the list of books that give inaccurate information regarding Celtic culture, mythology and religion is growing. We won't say "don't read them" as we believe in free speech ---but they are not acceptable for use in our study program, except as a possible comparison. And some, like The Veil of Isis are not without entertainment value.
The Celtic and/or Pagan
Raymond Buckland Scottish Witchcraft see my
review here
D.J. Conway Celtic Magic see my
review here
Tom Cowan Fire in the Head: Celtic Shamanism and the Celtic
Spirit
Tom Cowan Yearning For The Wind: Celtic Reflections on Nature and

poetic prose, but none regarding history or mythology.

A Guide to Their Spiritual Power, Healing Energies, and Mystical
Joy
Murry Hope Practical Celtic Magic
Alexei Kondratiev The Apple Branch aka Celtic
Rituals This is OFTEN listed as CR, but it is not. Like many others
in this list may be useful for those wanting some sort of "Celtic flavored"
Wicca and is, at least, probably a better source than most for that.

W. Winwood Reade. The Veil of Isis or Mysteries of the

Roman Catholic Church---all waging war against all that is good of course.
