| Welcome to the entry to Dùn Sgàthan, Fortress of Shadows.
Yes, many things may seem to have changed around here, but mostly it's just
words. Oh, and the ridding of bad alliances. Always a cleansing thing. However,
due to this some links might not be working right yet.
Some notes on the
names "Sgàthan" and "cyberpict" to
answer some recent questions about them
This site is dedicated to our first Greyhound
Irony, for it was a single page for her that
started this whole site in 1998. A few months later it was expanded as we
adopted Bran. We lost Irony in 2004 and Bran
in 2008. Please stop by to remember them.
While our site was started for the hounds, coming to the real Dùn
Sgàthan was to have horses again, so we also must rememer
Saoradh who we beleive called us here so we
could rescue him in 2001 and who left us in 2007.

Dùn Sgàthan is main section
of our site, where you can meet your hosts Kym ní Dhoireann and Aaron
Miller, a couple of Scottish Gaelic culturally focused Heathen warrior-types
turned fledgling homesteaders in Northern NH. A bit about our homestead and
raising chickens, tattoos, Kym's essays (including the Picts, woad and ancient
Celtic body art, Pagan freaks, animals...), ...
Pàganachd Allaidh---our Wild Heathen Path
An index of information on our own practice, warrior path information, workshops
available for warrior path.
Coin Geilt! is the virtual kennel where
you can meet our Divinely Mad Greyhounds Irony (sadly missed as of August
'04), Bran (sadly missed as of March '08) and Scolaighe and our Border Collie
Cross Gleann. They, of course, do expect this. Why would you be here
other than to see them? There is also some writing on why to adopt
a Greyhound, Celtic Sighthounds and dogs in ritual.
UPDATED March 2008 with the passing of Bran
On the Shieling you can meet our rescued horse
Saoradh (sadly lost in March of '07 just over a month from his 33rd birthday),
and hear about his journey from starvation to health and from emotional cripple
to a happy riding partner through Natural Horsemanship. You can also meet
Saorsa, our PMU foal and follow her as she grows up. Articles on Celtic horses
and PMU as well as a page for Kym's past horses too.
UPDATED November 2007 with news of Saorsa
Sgàthan Books is our online booklist
and reviews section where you can look for titles on the Celts,
the Picts, warrior path, martial arts, fitness. It includes our infamous
NOT recommended list as well, including some reviews of
such.
Webrings (or rather Netrings) are
also available for Pagan canines, Pagan horses, Pagan warriors,
Tattooed Pagans, Dark Goddess devotees, Pagan Coffee Talks (networking)
..do people even use these anymore?
Please do enjoy your stay. Please note that while we do welcome feedback,
we are not always able to answer emails and we seldom respond to those leaving
messages in our guest book. Neither of us is online a great deal these
days.
Kym also runs The Sarah Connor Charm School
for physical feminist fans of Linda Hamilton's character in Terminator
and Terminator 2. She also has a Phycial Feminist
blog Championing Ourselves.
